Sustainability Manager - Maternity Cover

👥 ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

A well-established construction firm with a strong regional presence and a growing sustainability agenda. The business is looking for an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead environmental compliance and carbon reporting across its project portfolio during a key 12-month period.

🛠️ WHAT YOU'LL DO:

This is an important role taking ownership of the organisation's environmental management systems, corporate carbon accounting. Supporting with delivery across the business, working closely with the SHEQ team, regional project teams, and executive leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

· Lead corporate carbon data capture across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, coordinating a network of regional sustainability champions.

· Lead on carbon reporting, preparing for audits and recertification.

· Manage environmental compliance and continuous improvement of ISO 14001.

· Support internal engagement and delivery.

🎓 YOUR CREDENTIALS:

The role requires strong technical grounding in carbon accounting and environmental management in the construction industry. Combined with the communication and project management skills to influence stakeholders from site level through to the board.

KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

· Proven experience in carbon accounting, corporate emissions data capture, verification and reporting.

· Experience within construction, built environment or a related industry.

· Wider environmental knowledge, including ISO 14001.

· Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and project management skills.
