👥 ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
A well-established, multi-site commercial business with a growing ESG function. The organisation operates across multiple UK locations and is committed to embedding robust environmental management into its core operations.
This is a new role, created to drive ISO 14001 EMS implementation, strengthen compliance, and lead carbon and sustainability reporting in a pragmatic, commercially focused way.
🛠️ WHAT YOU'LL DO:
You will lead on implementing and improving the environmental management system, driving it forward across the multiple sites of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
EMS / ISO 14001 Leadership: Lead and evolve the ISO 14001 environmental management system, embedding the system and driving engagement.
Compliance & Legislation: Maintain the legal register; proactively track and interpret regulatory changes, translating compliance requirements into practical, site-level actions.
Sustainability Reporting & Carbon: Maintain the company's carbon footprint reporting. Lead data gathering and support completion of required reporting across Scopes 1–3.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage professionals across the business, influence, and embed environmental practices at all levels - from operations teams to senior leadership.
🎓 YOUR CREDENTIALS:
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, commercially minded environmental professional with a track record of delivering ISO 14001 in a multi-site commercial business.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
4–5 years' relevant experience in an environmental role or similar.
Hands-on ISO 14001 implementation and maintenance experience across multiple sites.
Strong awareness of environmental legislation with a solutions-oriented, pragmatic approach.
Experience owning compliance, carbon data, and reporting.
Confident influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
