Head of Sustainability | Remote | £75k plus bonus

👥 ABOUT OUR CLIENT:  

A leading European payments company and one of the world’s largest providers of digital transaction services. Operating internationally with a UK team, the business is now expanding and hiring a Head of Sustainability.  

🛠️ WHAT YOU'LL DO:   

This is a new role created to develop and implement sustainability strategies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices across all operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Strategy Development: Create and implement sustainability strategies and action plans to align with environmental goals and promote sustainable practices. 

Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure the organisation adheres to all relevant environmental legislation and standards, conducting audits and assessments as needed. 

Resource Management: Manage and improve energy, water, and waste management initiatives, including recycling and renewable energy projects. 

Sustainable Sourcing: Provide advice and support sustainable procurement, ensuring that the company's materials and services are ethically and environmentally sourced. 

Reporting & Analysis: Track, analyse, and report on the organization's environmental performance, providing data and recommendations to management and stakeholders. 

Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal departments, external regulators, suppliers, customers, and the local community to build partnerships and support the green agenda. 

Staff Training & Awareness: Educate and train colleagues on eco-friendly practices and the importance of sustainability to foster a culture of environmental responsibility. 

🎓 YOUR CREDENTIALS:

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills to drive continuous improvement and champion sustainability within the organisation. 

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Implement an appropriate governance structure for agreeing the strategy and reporting progress. 

  • Ensure all statutory reporting is produced and submitted on a timely basis. 

  • Monitor changes in CSR reporting requirements and implement new activities & reporting as required. 

  • Coordinate the CSR activities and generate engagement & participation from colleagues. 

  • Support new business bids and tenders based on CSR requirements. 

  • Support client requests for related CSR data. 

  • Support global data requirements. 

  • Be the lead for CSR strategy and communication, including external events
