Turning Words into Impact: Writing Our 500-Word Business Profile
When we were recently nominated for a sustainable business award, we were delighted! And then immediately faced with a challenge we hadn’t quite expected: how do you capture everything your business stands for in just 500 words?
As recruiters and sustainability professionals (not marketers!), we’re used to helping others tell their story; framing career journeys, describing impact, and defining purpose. But turning the lens inward and writing our own company profile was a whole different task. It pushed us to distil who we are, what we do, and why it matters.
Here’s what we came up with.

We adopt a rigorous process ensuring we identify a competitive shortlist so that our clients source the best talent in the market for the role, including cultural fit.
Interim & Fractional Resourcing: Flexible talent solutions to boost team capacity, cover planned absences, or support short-term projects. We can work quickly to place professionals in a fixed-term contract, and we work with a raft of fractional consultants who can offer ad hoc support to suit your business needs.
Consultancy & Advisory: Tailored support in developing talent strategies and sustainability teams, partnering with businesses to help support them through the full hiring lifecycle. We offer Impact Discovery Assessments where we workshop a clear and actionable talent plan, producing a defined programme of work to drive impactful action tailored to your business.
Our bespoke approach means we work to maximise long-term retention, save time and resources, and deliver meaningful impact beyond recruitment. Based in the North of England, we serve clients UK-wide, championing sustainability across industry sectors and at all levels of business.

Both holding Masters in Corporate Governance and Sustainability with direct industry experience, they bring a deep understanding of the evolving needs of sustainability teams and the wider talent landscape.

Reflecting on the Process
Writing this profile reminded us just how much Impact Beyond has grown, not just in scale, but in purpose. What started as a shared belief that recruitment could be a lever for positive change has become a business that supports others to embed sustainability into their DNA.
